How to use Open Browser in UiPath
As a prerequisite, keep the Google browser open.
Step 1. Click on Activities, search for browser, and drag and drop Use Application/Browser.
Step 2. Click on Indicate application to automate this will prompt you to Google browser.
Step 3. Click on a blank space in the browser. A dialogue box will appear asking to install/enable UiPath Extension for Chrome. Click on Install.
Step 4. Now in the UiPath studio, you will get a prompt saying if you want to continue installing UiPath Extension for Chrome, please close all your Chrome processes and then click ok.
Step 5. Click ok on the prompt for installation complete. Next, you need to enable the browser extension by navigating to Chrome extensions and then restart the browser.
Step 6. Click on Indicate application to automate this will prompt you to Chrome. Then click on any blank space. Now, this automatically says Chrome new tab.
Step 7. Remove the Browser URL and type “www.google.com” or the URL you want to open.
Step 8. Hit on Run.
Note: Close the browser before you run.
Step 9. To type something, drag and drop Type Into from the Activities to Do section.
Note: Keep the browser open.
Step 10. Click on Indicate application to automate. On the Chrome page, double-click on the area where you want to type. Hit Confirm.
Step 11. You will get navigated to the studio. There, type whatever you want in the box under Type this.
Step 12. The browser will automatically close. So to avoid these go to Properties, and check the Close is Never Close for all sequences.
Step 13. Hit Enter in the Type this drop-down list.
Step 14. Run again after closing the browser.
Now the automation will start and open the browser window. You can type whatever you want. And you can see the result.
